I normally don’t post work like this, but I thought I’d share a pic of an intermediate “step” in making my figurines…

…Okay, let’s never do that again. >_<

I’m taking the final photos of a new finished little gal (a baby Shire horse!) and this cat above, which no longer looks quite as…oddly lumpy. Hope folks enjoy them. :) Since they’re cast in the US, I’m expecting them to be available for general purchasing by October or so, but preorders for both are already open in the store. Preorders always help pay for mold-making costs!

This is a cute design by the artist known as “Miu,” of his character Peaches in cute summer wear. Ironically we’re looking at probably a Winter 2010 arrival of this figure due to manufacturing times and all, but hey! What better time for a spot of color and thoughts of summer?

La Brea – Sold Out!

Thanks to everyone who purchased a La Brea set! I’m overwhelmed by the response and I suspect this means whatever comes down the pipeline next (as far as full-color figures) may need a slightly larger “limited edition” run. Or maybe not?

In immediate upcoming work I’m moving back to the blank resins, with a couple of realistic animals NOT of the feline variety (and one kitty as well, heehee).

A big thank you to everyone I’ve met at the recent conventions, they’ve been fun and I’ve got a LOT of work ahead of me! Ack! Comic-Con is coming up and I’ll have some of my blanks (Cat Dancer, Calla, and the kitties), but sadly no La Breas. Well, hopefully next year there’ll be something new and fun for that convention!

Napoleons Arrive!

The latest shipment from the casters has finally arrived, and it’s raining cats and…more cats?

Woohoo, that’s a lot of kitties! Also, as you might be able to see, there’s a whole bunch of Napoleons among them. That means yes, long-awaited preorders are being filled this weekend, and open ordering on Napoleon is now available! Kitkat and Hana have also been restocked as well.

To refresh, here’s a picture of all three of them together. From left to right, Hana, Kitkat, and Napoleon:

Napoleon is a hair bigger than the girls, but luckily I’m still able to keep them all priced the same. He is also going to be an open edition, though I reserve the right to close orders at any time.

This little tyrant is 2 3/8″ tall, but with every bit of attitude as the real Napoleon (our cat, not the person, although Napoleon the cat does have quite the war-emperor-like tendencies sometimes). Just finished the sculpt, and will be sending it off to be molded and cast on Tuesday.
