Whew! A really big stroke of luck here, just in time to accompany the blue-haired panther girl, here’s a faux-bronze-patina’d Cat Dancer done by the very talented folks at Resins by Randy (the same folks, I might add, who did the top-notch casting job on both my current resins).
It’s really amazing. If you don’t look at the bottom of the base, it’s a bit hard to tell this isn’t actually bronze. Yes, underneath this all, it’s the same type of white resin as the unpainted figures! It’s nicely glossy and has sort of a soft old-metal look. I don’t know how these people do it. Certainly it’s not an effect I’m going to try to experiment with, any time soon!
Will be available for bid in the Anthrocon art show, but if it doesn’t sell there, it might not leave my house again… :)
